4Care donates 200 pairs sunglasses for the Kiel Family Football Festival
Mike Ahlschläger works at 4Care's large mail-order warehouse and ensures that wearers of glasses and contact lens receive the products they order quickly and reliably. In his free time this enthusiastic footballer is helping to put on the Kiel Football Family Festival, known as ‘Fufafest’ for short. With sponsorship from the Lord Mayor of Kiel, Ulf Kämpfer, the third Fufafest was held in the state capital on 25 May 2017. With the support of numerous volunteers and 150 companies from all over Germany, Kielers and refugees come together to play football, eat and celebrate together at Fufafest. The event helps to build social cohesion, and the donations collected are used to support social projects. This year’s projects include ZBBS refugee projects and the “Kids in die Clubs” campaign led by the Kiel Sports Promotion Office and the Kiel Sports Association.
Mike Ahlschläger, who has been involved in the Fufafest from the very beginning, showed up with 200 pairs of sunglasses as a donation from 4Care GmbH. The company has been firmly committed to promoting sporting activities for years.
Marc Forquignon, managing director of 4Care GmbH, says, “Sports play an important social role, especially in helping people with migrant backgrounds to integrate. We’re proud that our employees are committed to social responsibility in their free time and get involved in projects like Fufafest. And, of course, we’re more than happy to support it."
