History

The history of our north-German company began in 1995 with a revolutionary idea - namely, to sell contact lenses in Germany via mail order. This idea has become one of the most successful omni-channel concepts for all optical products in Europe.

Over the past 15 years, we have been the first to specifically target and open up new product segments and distribution channels- in order to be wherever our customers need us to be.

After the foundation for the successful omni-channel concept was laid with the new “pharmacy” distribution channel in 2000, and the launch of the over-the-counter business with the Acumed brand in 2002, brand partnerships with specialized optical retailers, online cooperations with major industry suppliers, and our own in-house Optical Studio seemed like the next logical step. 4Care now covers all relevant distribution channels with a comprehensive assortment of optical products. With the change of partners in 2015, 4Care became part of the international MyOptique Group, and with this step is banking on strategic growth in Europe and the expansion of its service portfolio.
